HB56EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS (TIPTON J) Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to require the Department of Education to develop academic standards for a financial literacy program to be implemented by each public high school; require the financial literacy program to be completed for high school graduation; direct the department to determine the implementation date.

HB132FINANCIAL LITERACY (DUPLESSIS J) Create a new Chapter of KRS 158 to require a financial literacy course as a high school graduation requirement; direct the Kentucky Board of Education to promulgate administrative regulations establishing academic standards for the financial literacy course; direct the Department of Education to develop curricula, materials, and guidelines which may be used by schools for the financial literacy course.
